Floydian Slip rocks the Roadhouse with original jam music

South Shore jam band Floydian Slip made a return appearance on the show May 13 with great original tunes. They've been working on a new album, set to come out this summer, and they'll be back in town for Fisherman's Picnic. Floydian Slip is Andy Noyes, Jeff Kriner, Olaf Kirsten, and Scott McCafferty. Gordon Thorne brings sixth annual Fingerstyle Weekend April 8 & 9

Gordon Thorne stopped by The Roadhouse April 1 to play a few tunes and chat. The main topic of conversation was the sixth annual Fingerstyle Masters Weekend, coming up April 8 & 9 at Bluefin Bay in Tofte, and featuring guitarist Pat Donohue, along with fiddler Tom Schaefer. Black River Revue brings bluegrass to The Roadhouse

Duluth/Superior-based Black River Revue dropped by The Roadhouse on a recent visit to Grand Marais. They chatted with Dave and Ann and played some great high-energy tunes. Black River Revue is: Adam Stariha, guitar/vocals/harmonica; Ian Kvale, bass/vocals; Tim Leutgeb, banjo/guitar/vocals; and Joe Berg, spoons/washboard/vocals. Guitarist Jon Kallberg makes Roadhouse debut

Musician Jon Kallberg of Lutsen has played guitar for many years, and made his Roadhouse debut Feb. 26 with a harp guitar (pictured) and a six-string. You may catch him playing at Lutsen Resort; his next gig there is March 8.
