Twin Cities musician Mary Bue joined Ann and Will to talk about the release of her latest album, The World is Your Lover, and play some of her songs live.

Jerry Vandiver (guitar), Caitlin Evanson (fiddle), and Jay Gustafson (harmonica) joined Ann and Will for another outside performance on the air.

Dance Attic performs on Roadhouse

Dance Attic is a duo from Duluth, MN featuring Suzi Ludwig (accordion, vocals) and Jimi Cooper guitar (guitar, ukulele, vocals).
They joined Will and Ann on Roadhouse to perform a few songs and talk about their unique sound.  You can learn more about Dance Attic here.

Josh Cleveland and the Cedar Street Band perform on Roadhouse

Josh Cleveland and the Cedar Street Band returned to WTIP to perform on The Roadhouse this weekend before playing a pair of gigs at the Gunflint Tavern.  Dave and Ann chatted with the group in between tunes to find out what they are up to.

The band is:
Josh Cleveland - lead vocals, guitar
Dustin Smith - guitar, mandolin, vocals
Philip Rampi - double bass and vocals (upright)
Eric Smith - drums (kick, snare, hi-hat)

Sky Blue Trio performs on Roadhouse

Sky Blue Trio is Mike DeBevec, piano and vocals; Karina Roth, vocals; Mike Roth, string bass; Erik Hahn, saxophone and flute, Eric Anderson, trombone and euphonium; and Thomas Stamps, percussion and vocals.

Mike DeBevec, Karina and Mike Roth, and Erik Hahn joined Brian and Dave on The Roadhouse to play a handful of jazz tunes and also talk about what the group is up to.

Jim McGowan shares a couple holiday songs and more

Jim McGowan, a Roadhouse favorite, stopped by the studios to chat with Julie and Dave about holiday traditions, and of course, play a mix of holiday and other tunes.

Craig Baumann performs live on Roadhouse

Craig Baumann is a blues player based out of Wisconsin.  Craig recently went on a weeklong tour that saw him travel from Madison to Grand Marais to Fargo and back, with more stops in between.  While he was in Grand Marais, Craig stopped by The Roadhouse to play a few songs and chat with Julie and Dave about his musical influences and owning a music store in Waukesha, Wisc.

Maxophone and Heatbox in Studio A

Heatbox and Maxophone perform on The Roadhouse

Heatbox is the alter ego of Aaron Heaton, a Minneapolis-based vocal performer who blends vocal percussion and vocal turntablism with the simulation of horns, strings, musical instruments, and various sonic anomalies. 

Heatbox was recently in the area performing with Maxophone at the SnowBall Music and Ski Festival in Lutsen.  The pair joined Ann and Dave on The Roadhouse to play a few songs and talk about their unique instruments and music.

Super Duty and Al Oikari join The Roadhouse

Super Duty's Jon Sullivan (vocals), and Jason Fladager (guitar) joined Al Oikari for a recent gig in Grand Marais.  While here, the group also joined Ann and Dave to play some tunes and talk about the band.
