Each episode takes a look at natural materials of our environment and how they're used to create basic things people need for their lives.

This episode takes a bit of a different path, looking at what types of materials are used in wooden boats, and even teaches the basics of celestial navigation.

Will Moore-Elements of Craft returns in 2020! This radio series and podcast focuses on natural materials used by artisans, in partnership with North House Folk School.
This episode looks at stones- How they can be used to make tools or beautiful jewelry, with a focus on the geology and types of rock you may find on the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Elements of Craft: Cedar
Will Moore-Elements of Craft is a podcast and radio series about natural materials that make up traditional crafts. In this edition, we look at uses for wood from the cedar tree. Hear about different types of cedar from Minnesota to the Pacific Northwest, and explore drum-making, traditional carving, and canoe building with the material.
