Dave & Dick welcomed Sherrie Lindskog to Studio A for delightful piano music, Christmas carols, and laughter. Merry Christmas!

Gene LaFond & Amy Grillo have been writing and performing together since 2012. They made their way up the shore recently to join Dick and Dave for their first Roadhouse appearance. Listen for both originals and covers, as well as beautiful harmonies. You can learn more about them here.

South Shore jam band Floydian Slip stopped by Studio A on their way to a gig in Grand Marais. Floydian Slip is Andy Noyes, guitar & vocals; Olaf Kirsten, guitar & vocals; Jeff Kriner, percussion; and Scott McCafferty, bass & vocals. You can learn more about the band and their schedule here. 

Jim Hurst is a master of bluegrass guitar, and an experienced instructor and session musician as well. He was in town for the 26th annual Bluegrass Masters Weekend at Lutsen Resort, put on by the North Shore Music Association. Jim stopped by The Roadhouse to chat about his music and career, and play a few tunes. You can learn more about Jim and his music here. 

Pete Kavanaugh and his Minneapolis band, The Pete K Group, (Pete on guitar & vocals, Eric Meyer on bass, and Mike Dubois on drums) stopped by Studio A on their way to a gig at Grandma Rays in Grand Marais. Bluegrass band Ginstrings was in Grand Marais recently to perform. Several of the band's members, Gavin Haskin (mandolin), Eli Bentley (guitar), and Edward Hou (fiddle), stopped by The Roadhouse to chat and play a few tunes. You can learn more about their music and their schedule here.

The Sky Blue Jazz Ensemble (the version in studio was Mike DeBevec, keyboard; Eric Hahn, sax; Karina Roth, vocals; Barb LaVigne, flute; Mike Roth, bass) stopped by Studio A recently to preview their upcoming concert. It's called "All Our Own Jazz," Oct. 22, 7 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and will feature local musicians playing original compositions.

Folk/roots/blues powerhouse Chastity Brown stopped by The Roadhouse recently with her guitarist, Robert Mulrennan, to play and discuss her  work. You can learn about her upcoming album, touring schedule, and more, here.
