Rhonda Silence-North Shore Health is warning the public of a scam being perpetrated in the name of the hospital.
Current trail conditions during Christmas break in Cook County
Joe Friedrichs-There are a good number of local residents and visitors to the North Shore who are planning to ski, snowmobile or ride fat-tire bikes on the local trails over the Christmas holiday and break.
Hovland arson investigation continues

David Mills resigning from Grand Marais City Council
Rhonda Silence-The Grand Marais City Council is losing one of its members because of a move outside of city limits. David Mills has served on the city council since January 2015.
No action on community health funding

Bear killed after attacking three people near Isabella
Joe Friedrichs-There were two separate attacks involving the same bear on the morning of Dec. 19 at McDougal Lake in Lake County. The lake is located off Highway 1 near Isabella.
Trial canceled in Beck case following settlement
Joe Friedrichs-A long-anticipated trial in the criminal case involving former Cook County Health and Human Services Director Josh Beck is no longer scheduled to take place.
