Nashville songwriter & musician Jerry Vandiver stopped by The Roadhouse July 20 before his performance at Betsy Bowen's What's Upstairs that evening. He brought along Shy-Anne, an award-winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer from Northwestern Ontario, and the two chatted with Buck and played a few songs.

Grand Marais singer-songwriter Michael Monroe stopped in July 13 to chat with Bob and play a few songs, including one from his very first album, "Summer Rain."

Buck and Bob welcomed local singer-songwriter Joe Paulik July 6 for chat and music during North Shore Sights & Sounds membership drive edition of The Roadhouse.

Local accordion player & singer Leah Thomas joined Buck and Bob at the Wooden Boat Show at North House Folk School June 22 for music, laughter, and yes, more than a few accordion jokes.

Buck Benson and Karen Blackburn welcomed roots/folk duo Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank (Ian Alexy and Teague Alexy) for some great guitar and harmonica stylings.

Bob and Buck hosted Duluth folk/bluegrass band Two Many Banjos in studio June 1. It was one of their last appearances before they go on hiatus later this month.

Buck and Bob welcomed back The Thunderheads (Steve Blexrud, Craig Paquette and Don Blue) May 25 for rock/blues tunes and lots of laughter.

Buck and Bob hosted four members of the Titambe Dance Ensemble May 18 for chat and music. Director Christian Adeti and his group drummed and danced at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts in Grand Marais the next evening.

Buck Benson and Ann Possis welcomed Michael Gulezian and local favorite Michael Monroe to Studio A Apr. 27 in advance of their joint Log Cabin Concert near Grand Marais that evening.

Carah Thomas and Dave Seaton welcomed Portland fingerstyle guitarist Mary Flower to Studio A Apr. 13. She was here for the second annual Fingerstyle Guitar Masters Weekend at Bluefin Bay in Tofte, and was joined in studio with musician and organizer of the event, Gordon Thorne.
