Bob & Buck welcomed local fav Bump Blomberg, on guitar, & Wisconsin musician Chris Silver, on mandolin and resonator, to the show Feb. 15 for great music. They were performing in several spots around the county for President's weekend.

Buck Benson & Ann Possis welcomed John Wright, of Celtic-folk-Americana trio Lehto & Wright, to Studio A Jan. 18. He claims it was his first-ever solo performance. In any case, he plays some gorgeous guitar. The trio appeared at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts in Grand Marais Jan. 19.

Bob & Buck hosted musicians Michael Monroe and Claudia Schmidt Dec. 28, in advance of their Log Cabin Concerts for the holiday weekend. They played and sang together and solo, and made great conversation in between.

Bob & Buck welcomed Minneapolis musician "The Wrong Omar" (Joey Shaheen) to Studio A Dec. 21 for his WTIP/Roadhouse debut. His songs are original, quirky, and fun.

Buck & Bob welcomed The Brothers Burn Mountain (Ryan & Jesse Dermody) to Studio A Dec. 14. The Brothers play original Americana and bluegrass, with poetic lyrics, on guitar and drums. They were in town for two performances at the Gun Flint Tavern.

Legendary banjo player Bill Emerson & fiddle player Wally Hughes stopped by The Roadhouse Nov. 2 to chat and play some foot-tappin' tunes. They were in town with the rest of Bill's band, Sweet Dixie, for the 22nd annual Bluegrass Masters Weekend at Lutsen Resort.

Matthew Brown & Ann Possis welcomed Duluth singer-songwriters Bill & Kate Isles to Studio A Oct. 26. They were in town to play a fundraiser for the North Shore Music Association the following evening. Did you know they met via public radio?

Buck & Bob welcomed bluesman and finger-picker extraordinaire Gordon Thorne back to Studio A Oct. 19. Listen in for chat, laughter, and some really great train songs.

Buck and Bob welcomed Minneapolis singer/songwriter Neal Swanger, along with bass player Dan Olmschenk, Oct. 12, for some great music in Studio A. They were in the county to play a wedding the next day. Neal's new album is called "Broken Ground." He and Dan also play with the band Folk 'n' Thieves.

Mary Bue, Duluth singer/songwriter, visited Studio A with her keyboard to chat and play her original songs on WTIP for the first time. She was joined by local musician Bump Blomberg. Her new album is called "An Apple in the Ocean."
