-Back in 2004, Lake Superior got a present – its very own official Day! Now, Lake Superior Day is held annually on the third Sunday in July in communities around the lake, both in the U.S.

Lodging tax revenues continue upward trend over last year
-Lodging tax revenues for April were up from the same month last year county-wide according to the latest report from the Cook County Auditor-Treasurer’s office.
Great Lakes levels low, bad news for shippers
-Water levels are lower than usual in the Upper Great Lakes, which is bad news for the shippers who rely on those waterways.
