Great blues guitar from Gordon Thorne on The Roadhouse
-Buck & Ann welcomed local favorite Gordon Thorne to Studio A March 1 for conversation, laughter and, of course, incredible blues guitar. Gordon's third annual fingerstyle guitar weekend happens this year April 12 & 13--might want to mark your calendar.
Duluth filmmaker Mike Scholtz on his award-winning doc, "Wild Bill's Run"
-Buck chatted recently with Mike Scholtz about his award-winning documentary, "Wild Bill's Run." Described as 'part Arctic adventure, part crime caper,' it's the strange but true story of Wild Bill Cooper, his attempt to snowmobile to Moscow during the Cold War, and what happened in the aftermath. The film will be shown again in March or April at North House Folk School in Grand Marais.

-Bob spoke Feb. 15 with Dr. Gwen Westerman, co-author with Bruce White of "Mni Sota Makoce: The Land of the Dakota." The book, from the MN Historical Society Press, details the history of the Dakota people in their traditional homelands for hundreds of years prior to exile.
