A young moose broke through the ice on Hungry Jack Lake on Monday, April 10. Soon afterward, residents of the Gunflint Trail took to the ice in an attempt to save the moose.

This video features residents of Hungry Jack Lake as they make their way out to the moose to rescue it from the freezing water and broken ice.
