In this edition of WTIP's ongoing historical series, Moments in Time, Skip and Linda Lamb share some of the history of the old Stickney-Lamb Cross River General Store in Schroeder, now known as the Cross River Heritage Center.

During the 1960s and 70s, Schroeder was a busy place on the North Shore. Several ore boats stopped at Taconite Harbor each day, and many of the sailors, captains, tourists and others stopped by the Stickney-Lamb Cross River General Store.

Today, that store is known as the Cross River Heritage Center.

Skip Lamb lived and worked there with his wife Linda during those busier years, and in this edition of Moments in Time, they share some of the history of the building and some of their favorite stories from living in the old store.
