Artist Open House

This feature highlights the thoughts and ideas behind the work of area artists. Each segment showcases a particular individual and brings the listener into the artist’s studio. The series was funded in part by the Community Leaders Fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.

Among the iconic images of north shore forests, lakes and wildlife are the paintings of Liz Sivertson. Sometimes whimsical and even occasionally quirky, they are always recognizably Liz.

Dan and Lee Ross -- two artists of one mind

For Dan and Lee Ross, the North Shore serves as the raw material for their shapes and forms. Dan and Lee are known throughout the country for their sculpture in ceramic and stone.
