-Local filmmaker Beau Larson and Lutsen 99er bike race director Adam Harju joined Bob Nov. 30 to talk about a new documentary film, "Breaking Trail," by Beau and filmmaker Carl Hansen, which looks at the history of Lutsen Mountains, biking in Cook County, and the third Lutsen 99er, coming up in June. The film premiered Dec. 1 at North House Folk School in Grand Marais.

Dr. Alena Grabowski on the science behind Olympian Oscar Pistorius' artificial feet
-Buck chatted Aug. 3 with Dr. Alena Grabowski, research professor at the U of Colorado Boulder Locomotion Laboratory. She's involved in research and testing on people using assistive devices to walk and run, including Oscar Pistorius, the first double amputee to compete in the Olympics. The study found that Pistorius does not receive any net advantage from using artificial feet to run.
