How might climate change affect North Shore tourism? Researcher offers study results
-Prof. Mae Davenport of the U of MN Department of Forest Resources, along with colleagues from many other fields, has just completed a study on how climate change could affect tourism on the North Shore. She chatted with Ann Possis about the study's scope and key findings. -For 20 years now the Birchwood Cafe has served innovative, sustainable food in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. Largest solar array in state goes online at MSP airport
-Minnesota's largest solar power project went online last month atop two parking ramps at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. Dennis Probst, who spearheaded the project, is executive vice president for the Metropolitan Airports Commission. -The Pavek Museum of Broadcasting focuses on the history of radio and TV broadcasting, especially in Minnesota. Steve Raymer, managing director of the museum since its founding in 1988, joined Buck May 29 to talk about how the museum got started, what they collect, and their educational programs as well. Did you know that in the early 1900s, the radio station on the U of MN campus broadcasted football in Morse code?
