-Elizabeth Marshall Thomas has spent a lifetime observing other creatures and other cultures, from the African savannah to her own backyard. You may recognize her as the author of the NYT best-seller, "The Hidden Life of Dogs." Now she has written a book about her own life--"Dreaming of Lions: My Life in the Wild Places." She joined Ann Possis recently on The Roadhouse.

Gordon Thorne brings sixth annual Fingerstyle Weekend April 8 & 9

-Duluth/Superior-based Black River Revue dropped by The Roadhouse on a recent visit to Grand Marais. They chatted with Dave and Ann and played some great high-energy tunes. Black River Revue is: Adam Stariha, guitar/vocals/harmonica; Ian Kvale, bass/vocals; Tim Leutgeb, banjo/guitar/vocals; and Joe Berg, spoons/washboard/vocals. Guitarist Jon Kallberg makes Roadhouse debut
-Musician Jon Kallberg of Lutsen has played guitar for many years, and made his Roadhouse debut Feb. 26 with a harp guitar (pictured) and a six-string. You may catch him playing at Lutsen Resort; his next gig there is March 8.
