Four young women, including Grand Marais resident Tessa Larson, are paddling canoes from the end of the Gunflint Trail to Hudson Bay this summer.  The group left Seagull Lake over Memorial Day Weekend and recently paddled across Lake Winnipeg. They have approximately three weeks left on their journey.

Paddling under the name Journey 4 Renewal, the group is raising money for Wilderness Canoe Base located on Seagull Lake at the end of the Trail.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke recently with Emma Harness, who is the site director for Wilderness Canoe Base.
