Waterfowl hunting season starts this weekend in Minnesota

Duck hunting is expected to be good when Minnesota’s regular waterfowl season opens a half-hour before sunrise on Saturday, Sept. 23.
And while waterfowl hunting is not abundantly popular in Cook County and along the North Shore, it does occur and there are some hunters looking forward to the upcoming season, according to the DNR.
WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with local Conservation Officer Mary Manning about the 2017 waterfowl hunting season.
