Violence Prevention Center hosts candlelight vigil October 11
A candlelight vigil will be held October 11 to remember those lost to domestic violence and to honor survivors
The Violence Prevention Center has been an important part of the community for over 30 years. One of the Center's efforts is a candlelight vigil in October in recognition of Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. This year community members will gather in Harbor Park in downtown Grand Marais on Thursday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. for a few moments of "Hope and Remembrance."
The Center does a lot more, during October and throughout the year. WTIP volunteer Dennis Waldrop speaks with Center Outreach Advocate Carly Puch to learn about October events and more.
