Vikings volleyball team reaches Final Four of 7A playoffs

On Friday night, Oct. 28, the Cook County Vikings volleyball team defeated William Kelly High School from Silver Bay in round three of the section 7A tournament. The Vikings won in three sets 25-13 , 25-18, 25-16.

Vikings player Meredith Sutton had 13 digs, and 18 kills, Tarin Hanson had 33 set assists, Alyssa Lashinski had 13 digs and 7 ace serves and Raina Ryden had 15 digs

For Silver Bay, Kayla Klofstad 9 kills, 7 digs, Brooke McMillan 5 kills and 12digs and Cora Carter 5 kills.

The Vikings will now travel to Virginia for the Final Four of the 7A playoffs. The Vikings will take on North Woods High School on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 5:30 p.m.

If the Vikings advance to the Finals, they will play again on Saturday, Nov. 5. That game will also be in Virginia and begin at 4 p.m. The Finals matchup would be against the winner of the Deer River vs. Carlton game, which takes place on Wednesday.

If the Vikings reach the Finals, it will be broadcast on WTIP, North Shore Community Radio.
