Vikings volleyball team advances to state tournament

The Cook County Vikings volleyball team is returning to the state tournament. The Vikings claimed the 7A tournament championship with a victory over Deer River on Saturday, Nov. 5. The championship game was held in Virginia, with the Vikings winning in three straight sets by the scores 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.

The Vikings will face Caledonia on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. in round one of the state tournament. The game will take place in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
