Vikings softball looking ahead after rough week

The Viking Softball team is coming off a week of tough games as they meet Barnum on Tuesday, May 11. The Vikings head to Barnum to face the Bombers at 4 p.m.
The week started with against Esko on May 4. The Esko team took an early lead and defeated the Vikings in five innings, 21-0.
On May 6, the Moose Lake/Willow River Rebel softball team earned an early lead in the game at the Grand Marais Rec Park. They held on for the win, defeating the gritty Viking girls, 24 – 1.
The Vikings finished the week of tough games by facing a tough opponent, the Cromwell Cardinals on Friday, May 7 at home at the Grand Marais Rec Park Field. Cromwell got the win, 12-8.
After the Tuesday, May 11 game versus Barnum, the Vikings will be back home at the Grand Marais Rec Park field to face North Woods at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 13. They then have a Friday, May 14 game at Silver Bay at 4 p.m.
