Vikings set for third consecutive trip to volleyball state tournament
Following a spirited victory over Carlton Saturday, Nov. 4, the Cook County Vikings volleyball team is heading back to the state tournament in 2017.
The State Girls’ Volleyball Tournament is scheduled for November 9-11 at the Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul.
The Vikings first opponent is number-one seed and defending champion Mayer Lutheran. That match is Thursday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on WTIP.

Note: Grand Portage will be sponsoring a 56 passenger bus to the state volleyball game on Thursday, November 9th. A sign-up sheet is in the office. Community members are welcome to ride.

Any student middle school or younger requires a parent to ride the bus as well. The bus will be loading in front of the school at 7:00 am. Bus will leave at 7:15 am. The bus will return to Grand Marais after the game.
