Congress continues to discuss the next federal coronavirus relief package. Included in the talks are extending the $600 per week federal assistance for those on unemployment in Minnesota, as well as an extension of the Paycheck Protection Program for small businesses across the state.

WTIP’s Joe Friedirchs spoke with U.S. Sen. Tina Smith on the phone about the coronarivus relief package. Smith, a United States senator from Minnesota, called from Washington D.C. with the live update July 22.
