On Sunday afternoon, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center was notified that long-distance phone service for True North customers was temporarily unavailable.

True North, a division of Arrowhead Electric Cooperative, Inc, stated the service interruption was due to an affected switch in Plymouth, Minnesota. This long-distance service interruption did not affect local calling or service to 911.

When the announcement was made it was unknown how long it would take to make the repair; however, just before noon, Sara McManus at True North contacted WTIP to say that all long distance service had been restored.

Questions related to True North service can be directed to (218) 663-7239 or 800-864-3744.
