-The Minnesota Legislature now has the latest budget forecast to mull over, so we can expect committees to start rolling out their spending proposals.
Mushing season not over yet for local mushers
Rhonda Silence-Local mushers travel far and wide to pursue their sport with their canine athletes. A number of sled dog racers are preparing for the Copper Dog Sled Dog Race in Calumet, Michigan, on March 3-5.
County moves ahead with work force housing project
-The county commissioners voted unanimously to move ahead with the Lutsen work force housing project.
Boreal launches Blandin funded youth project
-Boreal Community Media has received a grant from the Blandin Foundation to develop a program they call Boreal Corps, which involves students in grades 4 through 12.
City adopts Climate Inheritance Resolution brought forward by Nordic Nature Group
Rhonda Silence-The Nordic Nature Group, a contingent of young naturalists, spoke to the Grand Marais City Council on Wednesday, February 22.
