They're holding a public meeting titled “Improving Water Quality and Sustainable Economies on the Minnesota North Shore ” in Grand Marais Friday, Sept. 9, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the ACA.

Hudson Bay Bound expedition: Day 78 for first women to re-create 'Canoeing with the Cree' adventure
-Buck spoke Aug. 19 by satellite phone with Natalie Warren and Ann Raiho, members of the Hudson Bay Bound expedition. They are re-creating Eric Sevareid's classic journey in 'Canoeing with the Cree' in an attempt to be the first women to do so, and to raise money for YMCA Camp Menogyn as well.
