Tina Nelson, the Northeast Minnesota Suicide Prevention Coordinator, is visiting Cook County on Friday, February 22. She will be speaking to students at School District 166 during the school day and also to the public in the evening.

Her public presentation will be at Cook County Higher Education from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on February 22.

Nelson travels around the state speaking at area schools, sharing a suicide prevention message and talking about resources that are available, such as the Minnesota Crisis Text Line. She tells students that the text line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Whether it is for yourself or a friend, help is available by texting MN to 741741.

WTIP’s Rhonda Silence spoke with Tina about her upcoming visit.
