Solar eclipse in Cook County: Everything you need to know

Everyone in the continental United States has a chance to see some part of the solar eclipse on Monday, Aug. 21.
Along the North Shore and throughout Cook County, the chance to see the eclipse in its totality is realistically not going to happen. However, the show could still be worth watching, according to Mark Hollabaugh, a retired astronomy professor and part time Cook County resident.
WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Hollabaugh about the solar eclipse, including when the event will take place in northeastern Minnesota and where the best viewing could be.
