Bruce Block of Grand Marais purchased the former GoFer Cabins and campground more than two years ago and has been working steadily to improve the area. The area is now Village North.

Block and his partners have been reconstructing the original cabins that front Highway 61 and they brought in buildings from the former Tomteboda Resort. One of the those buildings now has tenants and Block hopes to be able to open the second building by December.

WTIP talked to him as he was just starting this redevelopment work. Rhonda Silence checked in with him this week to see how things are going.
