A Grand Marais man reported a hit and run to his parked vehicle at about 11 p.m. on Saturday night, September 23.

The vehicle owner told the Cook County Sheriff’s Office that he heard a loud truck going past his residence on First Avenue West in Grand Marais and then heard a loud collision noise. When he inspected his vehicle the next morning, he saw that his driver side mirror had been hit. The mirror was folded in and the glass was shattered.

Two plastic pieces, likely from another vehicle were found on the road. The suspect vehicle could be missing a mirror that is black and chrome.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information about the incident to contact Law Enforcement at 218-387-3030.
