School District 166 creates "winter wonderland"

There have been some wintery additions to the playground area of Sawtooth Elementary School/School District 166 in recent weeks. WTIP volunteer Mark Abrahamson speaks with ISD 166 Principal Bill DeWitt about that and more.

There is a meeting of the ISD 166 school board  in the Jane Mianowski Conference room at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts on Thursday, February 15.  The meeting starts at 5 p.m. with a public comment period.

The board will be considering approval of the Cook County Education Association teacher's contract. They will be discussing special education funding, the retirement of Activities Director Pam Taylor, as well as some other personnel matters. Also on the agenda is a recommendation of the Communication & Collaboration Committee for a new position at the school, a communication specialist.
