Radio Waves Music Festival, Thursday Conversation topic

The Radio Waves Music Festival will take place Sept. 8-10 right here in Grand Marias. The tunes start at 4 p.m. on Friday in the Grand Marais Recreation Park, and before the festival kicks off we wanted to hear from some of the musicians who will be performing. However, we wanted to turn the tables on some of the Radio Waves musicians, finding out what live music continues to mean to them from the perspective of an audience member watching a show rather than the one who is performing.

In this Community Conversation, WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs speaks with Gene LaFond, Amy Grillo, Jack Klatt and Will Moore. He finds out what music continues to inspire these artists, some of the best concerts they have been to over the years and why live music is important in large metro areas to small communities here on the North Shore.
