Observations from Trail Center during Beargrease

It was a busy morning up the Gunflint Trail on Jan. 29. The John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon was in full gear, with both the marathon and mid-distance racers arriving at Trail Center Lodge and Restaurant on Poplar Lake.
