Tomatoes are the one vegetable that most gardeners want and try to grow.  It gets a bit tricky in our northern climate and everyone has an opinion about what their best tomato is or why they can’t grow tomatoes here.

This month's edition of Northern Gardening is all about "Tomatoes for Northern Gardens." Hosts Melinda Spinler and Joan Farnam are joined by guests Sally Berg, U of M Master Gardener, and David and Lise Abazs, well-known farmers from Finland, Minnesota.

Northern Gardening airs the second Thursday of the month, from 7 to 8 p.m. – and is rebroadcast the following Saturday from 6 to 7 a.m. And all previously aired programs are archived on the Northern Gardening page of our website.
