Northern Gardening: Composting

This month's edition of Northern Gardening is all about composting.  Learn about composting in your home garden, as well as using composting as a means of gardening with straw bales.

Hosts Diane Booth and Joan Farnam are joined by special guest, author Joel Karsten.  Joel has a B.S. degree in horticulture and is an avid vegetable gardener who also loves tulips, dahlias, roses, hostas, and lilies.  Find out more about Joel's latest six bale greenhouse composting project and how that might work for you in your back yard. Joan and Diane are also joined in the studio by U of M Extension Master Gardener Sally Berg.

Northern Gardening is a locally produced program on WTIP, airing the second Thursday of the month from 7 to 8 p.m., and is rebroadcast the following Saturday from 6 to 7 a.m.
