North Shore Storm teams heading to state cross country meet

The North Shore Storm, the combined Cook County/Two Harbors cross-country running team, competed at the Section 7A championship meet at the Cloquet Golf Course on Thursday, October 25. 

The Storm faced stiff competition, with over 15 teams and 100 runners competing in both the boys' and girls' races. They were up to the challenge, both the boys' and girls' varsity teams finished second overall in team standings.  With the second place finishes, the teams qualified for the state meet, which takes place at  Saint Olaf College on Saturday, November 3.

Top individual performers for the Boys' Storm include Isaac Swanson - 4th, Brenden Seipke - 5th, Noah Smith - 8th, and Will Surbaugh - 16th.

Top individual performers for the Girls' Storm include Cedar Gordon - 10th, Lamar Gordon - 14th, Autumn Smith - 20th, and Claire LaVigne - 29th.
