North Shore Health opens its new doors
North Shore Health recently completed its months-long renovation and expansion project. On May 18, hospital staff, hospital board members, representatives of the agencies involved in construction and financing and many community members gathered for a ribbon cutting and rededication.
A time capsule that was installed when the orginal hospital was built in 1958 was opened during the ceremony. It contained newspapers and tourism information from that era.
Officials and community members enjoyed refreshments and a tour of the facility after the ribbon cutting.
WTIP's Rhonda Silence was there and she shares this report.
