North Shore Health asks visitors to stay away from windows
The North Shore Care Center in Grand Marais continues its efforts to keep residents safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff at the facility are now asking the public and people hoping to visit the facility to do the same.
In a press release sent to WTIP, staff at North Shore Health and the care center are asking that visitors please not come to windows and secure courtyard space to visit residents.
“This is the resident’s home and it can be scary and unnerving to have people outside of their windows,” the release states.
Visitors are asked to call the North Shore Health activity department at (218) 387-3518 to make arrangements via Skype, Zoom, FaceTime or to set up a window visit by the family room areas with your loved ones. In addition, phone calls are always welcome at 387-3293 or 387-3298.
WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Hospital Administrator Kimber Wraalstad about this topic during a recent interview. The audio below is specific to this topic of visitation.
