Dave grabbed the chance to talk all things hockey history with Roger Godin, team curator for the Minnesota Wild, who before that was director and curator of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth.

Local trio Mysterious Ways stopped by The Roadhouse on their way to a gig at the Gun Flint Tavern, and rocked Studio A. Mysterious Ways is: Pat Eliasen, guitar & vocals; Mike Pratt, guitar & vocals; and Matt Bronikowski, drums. 

Candace LaCosse, a Duluth businessperson, artist, and teacher, is involved in the Fashion Revolution--a nonprofit organization that promotes producing and consuming clothes in a safe, clean and fair way. She joined CJ to talk about Fashion Revolution Week and about her own work as a creator of handmade leather goods.

Master Bing is a 15th-generation Kungfu master who will give Qigong and calligraphy classes May 2 in Grand Marais. He joined Dave to discuss the classes and his tour around the U.S. You can learn more here, or call Mona at 218 370 9283.

Floydian Slip, a four-piece jam band from the south shore, and regular guests, stopped by The Roadhouse on their way to a weekend gig at the Gun Flint Tavern. Floydian Slip is: Jeff Kriner, drums; Scott McCafferty, bass; Olaf Kirsten, guitar; and Andy Noyes, guitar. 

The recent rapid rise of diseases that affect the immune system (like rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease) suggest that factors in the environment are contributing. Lindsey Konkel, a freelance journalist who writes about science, health, and the environment, joined CJ the day before Earth Day to discuss current thoughts and research on this topic.

Carpet dealer Cemal Uzun is touring the U.S. with his carpet selection because a downturn in Turkish tourism has hit the business he works for, Anatolian Carpets, hard. He was here in Grand Marais along with local resident Ann Marie Mershon, who spent years living in Turkey and has written several books about her experiences. They chatted with Dave the day before the big carpet show at the Cook County Community Center.

Lewis Gilbert is the managing director and COO of the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota. He speaks with host CJ Heithoff on The Roadhouse.

Dr. Mary Hockenberry Meyer is an established horticulture leader in Minnesota. She recently wrote a book with Susan Davis-Price called "Ten Plants that Changed Minnesota." She speaks about the book on the Roadhouse with host Dave Tersteeg. 

Ginstrings are an energetic bluegrass and Americana band from the Twin Cities and frequent visitors of the North Shore music scene. They return to the Roadhouse for another batch of rousing and proficiently played tunes.
