Buck chatted with musician Lindsay Mac Sept. 16. She was in town for Mountain Stage and Unplugged X, and brought her new four-string guitar to Studio A to play a few songs.

Matthew Brown and Ann Possis hosted Germaine Gemberling and Rich Mattson in Studio A Sept. 9 for conversation and original music. They were in town to perform at WTIP's Radio Waves music festival.

Ann Possis and Matthew Brown welcomed Ann Raiho and Natalie Warren of the Hudson Bay Bound Expedition to the studio Sept. 9. They just became the first women to paddle from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay, re-creating the journey made by Eric Sevareid and Walter Port, and documented in the classic book "Canoeing with the Cree."

Buck chatted recently with Larry Groce, host and artistic director of the Mountain Stage Radio Show, which is carried on WTIP. Mountain Stage is coming to Grand Marais Sept. 15 & 16 to tape two shows during Unplugged X at North House Folk School.

Bob chatted Sept. 2 with Michael Perry, author, humorist and singer/songwriter, about his performances at the Big Top Chautauqua in Wisconsin.

Buck spoke Sept. 2 with Lissa Radke, U.S. Coordinator of the Lake Superior Binational Forum, which focuses on water quality and environmental health in the Lake Superior basin. They're holding a public meeting titled “Improving Water Quality and Sustainable Economies on the Minnesota North Shore ” in Grand Marais Friday, Sept. 9, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the ACA.

Buck Benson and Ann Possis hosted Mike DeBevec, Mike Roth and Eric Hahn in studio Aug. 26 to preview 'A Century of Jazz,' their musical overview of the history of jazz, happening Friday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. at Betsy Bowen's What's Upstairs?

Buck spoke Aug. 26 with Molly Huber, lead writer-researcher for MNopedia, a new online encyclopedia about Minnesota produced by the MN Historical Society. You can check it out at the link above and give your feedback and ideas, too.

Buck and Bob welcomed Pete Kavanaugh and Eric Meyer Aug. 19 for music and talk in advance of the Pete K. group's weekend appearances at the Gun Flint Tavern.

Bob chatted Aug. 19 with Jason Marsh, editor-in-chief of Greater Good Magazine, about meditation and mindfulness and how they actually change the structure of our brains. The magazine is published by the Greater Good Science Center at UC-Berkeley, whose mission is to explore the roots of happy and compassionate individuals, strong social bonds, and altruistic behavior.
