The Duluth News Tribune has a new managing editor. Taking one of the top posts at the region’s largest daily newspaper is Peter Baumann, who was previously the managing editor of the Laramie Boomerang in Wyoming.

Baumann, 34, was recently on the North Shore and up the Gunflint Trail studying the new outdoor playground he now calls home in northeastern Minnesota.

While he was in Grand Marais, Baumann stopped by WTIP to talk journalism with WTIP’s Senior Editor Jay Andersen and News Director Joe Friedrichs.
