Following the success of craft brewers and a winery on the North Shore, a distillery that will produce various styles of liquor is set to open in Grand Marais in 2018.

Frape & Sons is currently a boutique bitters producer based in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Owner Justin Frape says he is thrilled about moving the business across the border and into Cook County.

Frape spoke with WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs about the distillery and plans for the business once it arrives to Grand Marais.
