A tower approved at the county, state and federal levels will be used to improve communication at the end of the Gunflint Trail. The tower will be placed near the community center at the end of the Trail and the shores of Seagull Lake. The tower will stand 80 ft. tall and be painted with a non-reflective coating.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with U.S. Forest Service Gunflint District Ranger Michael Crotteau and Rena Rogers from Cook County’s management information systems for an update on the forthcoming communications tower at the end of the Trail on Seagull Lake.
