A muddy Tofte Trek ahead

It's an Independence Day tradition for many residents and visitors to take part in the Tofte Trek 10K race. With recent rains, this year's trek promises to be especially muddy. 

The Tofte Trek starts and finishes at the Birch Grove Community Center. The morning starts with kids' short "sprint" races (by age), then a youth Mile Run followed by the pack of runners (and walkers heading out on the whole 10K route. Races begin at 9 a.m.
