For two years, the Highway 61 construction through the city of Grand Marais was one of the top topics on WTIP, as residents and visitors dealt with the removal of trees in the road right-of-way, then with heavy equipment and torn up roads and seemingly ever-changing detours. Now that the road project is complete, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is asking for feedback from the public.

MnDOT is offering the Hwy 61 Reconstruction Project in Cook County Post-Construction Survey.

Now that there has been some time to experience the completed Highway 61 reconstruction, MnDOT hopes the public will take a short survey. MnDOT wants to know: How well did we listen and respond to your individual needs? How did we respond to the needs of the community as a whole?

The MnDOT announcement states that feedback received will help them with future projects in the years ahead.
