Although the major concern about our roads at this time is whether or not they are icy or snow-covered, planning continues regarding this coming spring's reconstruction of Highway 61 through Grand Marais. 
 
WTIP checked in with Edward Welch, the Minnesota Department of Transportation manager for the Grand Marais Highway 61 project, to ask a few questions about the work that was done by KGM Contractors in 2020 and about what's ahead for 2021.
