The following is a record of calls made to the Cook County Law Enforcement Center from April 24 to April 30. These are the initial calls made to law enforcement dispatchers.

Monday, April 24
7:00 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Lost a set of car keys. Three keys on a keyring. No keychain or fob and last seen at Post Office. 
7:29 a.m Camp 20 Rd, Hovland Party states they had 24 batteries stolen from their property. The batteries were dead and were going to be turned in as cores. 
7:40 a.m Law Enforcement Center  Permit to carry application. 
8:05 a.m Grand Marais  Caller wants party removed from apartment. 
9:26 a.m East Highway 61, Hovland Illegal dumping at property.
10:46 a.m Law Enforcement Center  Permit to carry application received.
11:32 a.m Law Enforcement Center  Returning a deputy’s call.
12:07 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to carry application.
3:26 p.m. East Highway 61, Grand Portage Traffic stop, warning given.
4:27 p.m. East Highway 61, Grand Portage Would like to speak with a deputy about problem with a 14-year-old child.
4:32 p.m. Grand Marais   Reporting drunk male driver in a black Kia just left, unable to tell what direction it turned.
8:05 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Looking for Grand Portage warden for issue with aggressive wolf or wolfdog.
9:25 p.m. Lutsen  75-year old female needs medical attention. 
10:33 p.m. Grand Portage Reporting a dog bite on April 6.
     
Tuesday, April 25
4:39 a.m. Cascade Resort, Lutsen  White truck with Ontario plates passed him going eastbound on Highway 61, speeding. 
6:03 a.m. Lutsen  Caller requesting a welfare check on brother because of Facebook posts. Not answering phone.
7:35 a.m. Grand Marais  Traffic stop, citation issued.
9:20 a.m. Grand Portage Lodge  Contact surveillance.
9:30 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
9:48 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
10:52 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Finger prints.
10:59 a.m. Cook County High School  16-year-old male student being uncooperative. 
11:51 a.m. North Broadway, Grand Marais Traffic stop, warning given.
12:13 p.m. Lutsen  Family requests help for drunk man, ranting and raving in background.
2:14 p.m. Cook County courthouse Arrested man on Cook County warrant.
3:38 p.m. Cook County High School Safe routes to school patrol.
4:40 p.m. Grand Marais  Residence check.
4:40 p.m. County Road 7, Grand Marais Hit by a small passenger car, silver-gray some kind of a GMC, west bound.
7:32 p.m. West Highway 61  Deer needing to be dispatched in westbound lane.
10:25 p.m. Devil Track Rd, Grand Marais Large birch tree covering entire road. 
Wednesday, April 26
     
3:03 a.m. 8th Avenue, Grand Marais Traffic stop, warning given.
3:43 a.m. Overlook Trail, Tofte  Traffic stop, cancel.
7:24 a.m. Grand Marais  82-year-old male needs medical help.
7:40 a.m. County Road 7, Grand Marais  Residence check.
8:17 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  911 call with no one on the line. Sounds like a pocket dial. Have had pocket dials from this number in the past. 
9:40 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Warrant for failure to appear for child support hearing. 
10:10 a.m.  Caribou Trail, Lutsen Reporting a tree partially blocking the Caribou Trail near this address.
10:20 a.m. Grand Marais  Child protection.
10:26 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to carry application. 
10:27 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to carry application. 
11:45 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Civil process attempt.
1:25 p.m. Grand Portage Elder Housing Caller states a large bear has been in the area.
1:44 p.m. Gunflint Trail/Lullaby Creek, Grand Marais Reporting a vehicle in the ditch just before Lullaby Creek on the Gunflint Trail. Requests a deputy for lights. 
2:01 p.m. Clearwater Road, Gunflint Trail  Caller states he got stuck on near this address. Information passed to Cook County towing. 
2:20 p.m. Gunflint Trail  Deputy reports a phone pole snapped around this address and trees over the lines. Century Link notified and will respond.
2:43 p.m. Grand Portage Wants party to be removed from the residence.
4:00 p.m. Seagull Guard Station  Medic call.
4:01 p.m. Grand Marais  Reporting the 3-legged husky is walking in the alley behind SuperAmerica and is all bloody. 
4:15 p.m. Grand Marais  Power outage. 
5:05 p.m. Gunflint Tavern, Grand Marais Someone tried to open a credit card under his name. Would like to speak to a deputy. 
5:29 p.m. Gunflint Trail, Grand Marais Vehicle in the ditch. Footprints leading away from the vehicle. 
9:04 p.m. Grand Marais  90-year-old female needs medical assistance. 
9:09 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  911 phone only. No one online. Unable to call back.
Thursday, April 27
     
4:21 a.m. West Highway 61, Tofte 41-year-old female needs medical help.
5:21 a.m. Grand Marais  Wants party removed from residence. 
7:47 a.m. Cook County High School School patrol.
9:18 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Caller would like a call back.
9:27 a.m. County Road 7, Grand Marais Residence check.
11:25 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Application for permit to carry.
11:26 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Application for permit to carry.
11:52 a.m. Grand Marais  20-pound, black, brown and white pomerian is missing from the yard.
1:45 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Application for permit to carry.
1:54 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Child protection.
2:43 a.m. County Road 7, Grand Marais  Party requesting a deputy to stand by for traffic control while he pulls a vehicle up the driveway.
3:24 a.m. Grand Marais  Party concerned about co-worker. 
4:33 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party called looking for any updates. 
4:51 a.m. Grand Marais City Hall  Foot patrol downtown. 
7:57 a.m. East Highway 61  Civil process attempt.
8:19 a.m. Tamarack Trail, Hovland Calling to report trouble with her WiFi. Will be calling provider. Just wanted to know if others were having issues. 
9:31 a.m. Eagle Ridge, Lutsen Checking garbage cans - just saw bear roaming in the area. 
     
Friday, April 28
7:54 a.m. Grand Marais   Reported finding approximately 3-year-old girl walking by herself in this location, states she's on her way to the park at the community center 
7:55 a.m. Schroeder  Report of vehicle speeding and passing in no passing zone.
10:52 a.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
1:48 p.m. Eliza Road, Grand Portage  911 hang up. Dispatcher rang back again and spoke with a male who advised no emergency, sorry, his child was playing with the phone. All okay.
2:13 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
3:02 p.m. Townsite Road, Grand Portage  911 with nobody on the line, sounded like a pocket dial.. Dispatcher rang back spoke with a female. Her 4-year-old daughter just had the phone. She will take the phone away. No emergency. 
4:25 p.m. Fall River Rd, Grand Marais Civil process attempt.
4:57 p.m. West Highway 61 Door open at storage unit across from the old Harbor Light.
5:51 p.m. Cook County courthouse Lost his packsack somewhere in town today, last seen in court house. Black and grey "Eukanuba" bag. 
6:45 p.m. Caribou Trail, Lutsen   Civil process attempt.
6:49 p.m. East Highway 61, Hovland Civil process attempt.
6:56 p.m. Grandma Ray’s, Grand Marais  Reporting party walking eastbound by Highway 61/Buck’s, drinking beer. 
7:19 p.m. Bay Estates, Grand Portage Civil process attempt.
7:55 p.m. West Highway 61, Schroeder Traffic stop, citation issued.
8:47 p.m. Grand Marais  Requesting to talk to Violence Prevention Center on call person. 
     
Saturday, April 29
1:08 a.m. North Broadway, Grand Marais Downtown foot patrol.
8:10 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to carry application. 
8:18 a.m. East 5th Street, Grand Marais  Centurylink internet is down - only appears to be the internet. Been about a half hour. 
10:33 a.m. U.S. Customs, Grand Portage  Canadian vehicle wrong turn, arrested party for 5th degree possession. 
1:59 a.m. East Highway 61, Hovland Son heard a shot and a sensation of a bullet go past him. Came from the east of reporting party’s residence.
2:07 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Requested call back from deputy.
3:17 a.m. Grand Marais  Problems with landlord. 
3:30 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Drug take back day.
5:09 a.m. Grand Marais  71-year-old male needs medical help.
6:11 a.m. US Forest Service guard station, Seagull  Party advised they will be up next week to retrieve their pickup.
6:21 a.m. East Highway 61  Large, newer model white pickup went speeding by her.
6:52 a.m. East Highway 61, Hovland Report of graffiti.
7:25 a.m. Caribou Highlands Lodge, Lutsen  Parties in the residence eyes in distress. Eyes have been burning for the past 4 hours. Parties will be waiting outside.
7:54 a.m. Sawmill Drive, Lutsen Civil process attempt.
8:38 a.m. Taconite Harbor Small Craft Harbor, Schroeder Business check.
     
Sunday, April 30
11:18 a.m. Gunflint Trail Traffic stop, citation issued.
1:38 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, citation issued.
2:59 p.m. County Road 56, Grand Marais Blue Subaru that drove through hayfield causing quite a bit of damage. It's now parked a couple hundred feet past this address on his property. Nobody around 
5:15 p.m. Devil Track Road, Grand Marais  Caller reporting seeing someone wanted on a warrant.
     
7:54 p.m. Pike Lake Road, Grand Marais Party and her husband and their German shepherd got lost on their hike and ended up farther away from their destination than they planned. They are requesting assistance in getting back to the Cascade Lodge. 
8:13 p.m. Grand Marais Party requests a callback.

9:01 p.m. Grand Marais   Vehicle driving up and down East 5th Street.
9:01 p.m. Grand Marais  Juvenile acting up. 
9:41 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Traffic stop, warning given.
9:51 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Assist the jail.
10:14 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Hit a deer near Cutface Creek, West Highway 61, no injuries.
10:53 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Assist jail with attorney/inmate visit.
