The following is a record of calls made to the Cook County Law Enforcement Center from March 27 – April 2. These are the initial calls made to law enforcement dispatchers.

Monday, March 27
5:03 a.m. Grand Marais  57-year-old female needs to be brought in to the hospital.
7:03 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
8:00 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
10:18 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Sitting with inmate at court.
3:53 p.m. Devil Track Road, Grand Marais Large male golden doodle, almost white but some gold, in yard. 
3:56 p.m. Cook County Recycle Center Inmate transport.
4:13 p.m. North Broadway Ave., Grand Marais Foot patrol in Grand Marais business district. 
6:09 p.m. Eagle Mountain Lost vehicle key on Eagle Mountain trail. Single silver key for Toyota Sienna van. Left phone number in case it is found.
6:23 p.m. West Highway 61, Lutsen Traffic stop, warning given.
7:06 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Holding firearm and lock box for US customs officer for the night.
11:20 p.m. Grand Marais Rec Park 2 pickup trucks running around in park stopping at a couple of campers. 
     
Tuesday, March 28
1:08 a.m. Hovland  Traffic stop, warning given.
1:28 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Stored a fire arm for US Customs agent.
1:30 a.m. Cook County Courthouse Report of stolen and abused medications. 
3:18 p.m. Holiday, Grand Marais Found a wallet at the station. Will keep it there for the owner. 
4:01 p.m. North Broadway Ave. Foot patrol in business district. 
4:17 p.m. East Highway 61  Scam call. Reporting party called number and the "idiots" answered, wanted us to know.
4:58 p.m. Grand Marais  Party said person just left, took reporting party’s phone and broke it.
5:24 p.m. Grand Portage White Ford Focus up and down the road at a high rate of speed.
6:28 p.m. Grand Marais  Called, concerned about parties.
7:48 p.m. Grand Portage Residence check.
7:59 p.m. East Highway 61  Traffic stop, citation issued.
11:32 p.m. Grand Portage Male possibly having heart attack.
     
Wednesday, March 29
3:05 a.m. Grand Portage  Pregnant woman needs assistance. 
10:11 a.m. Grand Marais  Male party in red truck staring at caller’s business.  
10:31 a.m. Grand Marais  Plaques stolen from benches within the city.
11:27 a.m. East Highway 61  Traffic stop, warning given.
1:19 p.m. Grand Marais  Party in lobby requesting to speak to a deputy 
1:38 p.m. Cornerstone Community Church Party left an email that was sent to his church regarding a parking complaint.
3:29 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to purchase application received. 
3:33 p.m. Tall Timber Trail, Lutsen 911 call. No one online. No noises. No distress heard.
3:55 p.m. Cook County Recycle Center Inmate transport. 
4:07 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
8:02 p.m. East Twin Lake Campground 2016 Ford F150. Stuck in the snow and needing pulled out. 
     
Thursday, March 30
7:14 a.m. Gunflint Trail  Traffic stop, warning given.
7:50 a.m. Grand Marais  Traffic stop, warning given.
8:14 a.m. Grand Marais Bulldog/sharei mix got off leash. Dog answers to Shelby. Friendly.
10:06 a.m. Gunflint Trail  Disabled vehicle is on the roadway at the far end of the George Washington Pines. Concerned that someone could hit him. 
12:02 p.m. Blazes Rd, Grand Portage Residence check.
12:12 p.m. East Highway 61  Traffic stop, warning given.
1:23 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to purchase application.
1:27 p.m. Grand Marais  Civil process attempt.
2:24 p.m. Cook County Courthouse Report of terroristic threats.
2:31 p.m. Lutsen  Civil process attempt.
5:28 p.m. South Broadway, Grand Marais Civil process attempt.
5:46 p.m. Grand Portage Community Center Cell hangup, coordinates show near community center. Sounded like the pool or something.
7:11 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
     
Friday, March 31
12:35 a.m. West Highway 61 Remove dead deer off roadway. 
9:35 a.m. Grand Portage  Civil process attempt.
9:50 a.m. East Highway 61  Traffic stop, warning given.
10:14 a.m. Gunflint Lodge Dog ran off. May have gotten into a light blue sedan that drove off. Large black lab that answers to Hank. 
10:24 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  911 call. Sounds like food prep in the background. On callback party stated no emergency. 
10:55 a.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
11:25 a.m. Lutsen  Civil process attempt.
1:09 p.m. Grand Marais  White Chevy pickup has been parked near here over night. Four wheeler in the back. Caller thought it was odd. 
1:56 p.m. West Highway 61 Vehicle parked behind gravel pile. 
4:23 p.m. My Sisters Place Assist State Patrol on traffic stop. 
4:28 p.m. Grand Portage Elder Housing A big wolf hanging around, concerned for the children playing outside. 
7:21 p.m. Lutsen  Civil process attempt.
8:03 p.m. Grand Marais Rec Park Pick up trucks roaring around campground. 
8:06 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
8:59 p.m. North Broadway Ave, Grand Marais  Foot patrol in business district.
9:12 p.m. Gunflint Trail Power outage.
9:19 p.m. West Highway 61  Traffic stop, citation issued.
9:31 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Would like deputy to call back.  
9:38 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
9:40 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
10:04 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
10:19 p.m. West Highway 61, Lutsen Traffic stop, warning given.
Saturday, April 1
     
1:28 a.m. Grand Marais  Foot patrol.
1:33 a.m. US Forest Service, Grand Marais Assist State Patrol on traffic stop.
8:01 a.m. Rock Cut, Grand Marais White Chevrolet sedan traveling at a high rate of speed and passing in a no passing zone. All over the road. Westbound from this location. State Patrol notified. 
11:52 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party has some questions. Requests a callback. 
1:31 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
1:54 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop.
1:59 p.m. Grand Marais  Party states her cats ran off. One big black cat and one small white cat.
2:42 p.m. Black Granite Trail, Hovland  Party came into the lobby and stated her phone has not been working since this morning. 
2:59 p.m. Lutsen  Civil process attempt.
3:21 p.m. Schroeder  28-year-old female possibly having a stroke.
3:52 p.m. Grand Portage Community Center Party reports hearing a single gunshot just northeast of the Community Center.
4:30 p.m. Lake Superior Trading Post, Grand Marais They have a small purse that someone left behind. They will keep it there until Monday. 
5:28 p.m. Gunflint Traill/Cutoff Road A large dark colored SUV passed her in the no passing zone and was speeding.
5:37 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Individual dropped off a license plate he found on the roadway. Law Enforcement phoned the registered owner of the plate to let them know. 
5:53 p.m. North Shore Health 911 call. Stated it was a wrong number. 
6:46 p.m. Honeymoon Trail, Tofte 2005 Toyota Sequoia stuck in the road. 
7:31 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
7:32 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
8:54 p.m. North Broadway Ave, Grand Marais Foot patrol in business district.
9:07 p.m. West Highway 61 Residence check.
9:20 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, citation issued.
9:27 p.m. Camp 20 Rd, Hovland Needing directions. Refused help. Just needed to know which way he was going. 
9:45 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
Sunday, April 2
     
2:17 a.m. Grand Marais Rec Park Foot patrol.
9:45 a.m. Lutsen Mountains 45-year-old male with suspected broken leg. 
10:01 a.m. Gunflint Trail Big black shepherd looking dog in his yard. Asked for number for Animal Advocates.. 
10:14 a.m. Grand Portage   59-year-old male needs an ambulance.
11:03 a.m. Lutsen  Party hit a deer on Highway 61 and the Caribou Trail. No injuries or deputy needed. Just wanted a report for insurance. 
2:57 p.m. Lutsen Mountains Caller states a dog is in a black Land Rover with the windows rolled up. Party states she first noticed it an hour ago. Dog is panting.
