Monday, August 21
1:48 a.m.  Gunflint Trail Traffic stop – warning.
10:01 a.m.   Law Enforcement Center  Party dropped off wallet found at Cedar Grove Business Park.
10:17 a.m.   West Highway 61, Lutsen   Traffic stop – warning.
10:31 a.m.   Cutoff Rd, Grand Marais Welfare check. 
10:32 a.m.   Grand Portage  Project life saver.

11:16 a.m.   West Highway 61, Schroeder Traffic stop – warning.

11:41 a.m.   Law Enforcement Center  Party requesting call back from deputy. 
12:15 p.m. Super America, Grand Marais Attempt to locate a white Avis van - drove off with the hose attached, searching for the vehicle to pay for damage.
12:19 p.m.  East Highway 61  Party asking about vendor permit for company selling gravel door to door.
1:11 p.m. West Highway 61 Gold sedan all over the road - heading towards Duluth.
2:08 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  911 hangup, county called back, left a voicemail.
2:17 p.m. Harmon Sever Road/Pike Lake Road White mini van stuck.
2:36 p.m. Grand Marais Rec Park Damage to Spartan trailer hauling 1750 Crestliner Sportfish. 
2:45 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Has a client for Project Lifesaver, asked for call back.
3:05 p.m. East Highway 61, Hovland Traffic stop – warning.
3:18 p.m.  East Highway 61, Hovland Traffic stop – warning.
3:31 p.m.  Grand Marais  Party having problems with child’s mother. Family custody issue.
3:48 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party requesting call back. 
4:15 p.m. Lullabye Creek Road/Gunflint Trail  Party stuck about 5 miles in on the Lullaby Creek Road, one person is diabetic and will need insulin soon. Needs a tow, party will be waiting out on the road – tow company responded and assisted. No medical or further action required.
4:51 p.m. School House Road, Grand Marais Three pigs are in her yard eating her strawberries. 
5:43 p.m. Boostrom Way, Grand Marais Somewhere on South Clearwater Road there is heavy white smoke. 
7:19 p.m. East Highway 61, Grand Portage Traffic stop – warning.
10:28 p.m. Blue Water Café, Grand Marais  Found iPhone, dropped it off.
Tuesday, August 22
     
08:03 a.m.  Hovland  Family selling party’s belongings. 
09:33 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Test only. 
10:28 a.m. 170 Mile Creek Rd, Grand Portage  National Monument rangers concerned that ATVs are going around the gate up to Mt. Rose and destroying vegetation. Further patrol requested.
10:33 a.m. Harbor Light, Grand Marais White pick-up truck, westbound, had a big ladder fall out of it.
11:07 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Transporting party to court.
11:16 a.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Motorcycle vs. deer – no injury.
11:18 a.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop – warning.
11:39 a.m. Isak Hansen & Sons, Lutsen  Semi crossing white line and into the dirt. Bison transport. 
12:11 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Pick up party at Birch Tree facility to be put on mental health hold in St Luke’s. 
12:27 p.m.  Sawbill Trail, Tofte  Traffic stop – warning. 
1:05 p.m.  Arrowhead Trail, Hovland Two dogs chained to kennel area. Look neglected. 
1:31 p.m. Grand Marais Lost Prius keys. 
1:56 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Question on Project Life Saver 
2:23 p.m. Cook County High School Four young boys riding on the tennis court and being mouthy.
2:51 p.m. West Highway 61  Dump truck crossing the center line. Red dumper with white cab. 
3:47 p.m.   West Highway 61  Someone was picking rocks in their driveway yesterday. 
4:19 p.m. Grand Marais Cited for driving after suspension.
5:17 p.m. Best Western Superior Inn, Grand Marais No emergency. Dialed by mistake. 
6:25 p.m.  Hungry Jack Road  Party experiencing power voltage drops and that their lights have been going up and down. 
7:06 p.m. Grand Portage  Motorist assist. 
9:21 p.m. Morgan Road, Grand Marais Party with medical issues. Ambulance responded – no transport.
Wednesday, August 23
10:31 a.m. Grand Marais  Party’s dog was attacked yesterday – owners will work it out between themselves for further medical action with the dog. 
11:17 a.m. East Highway 61, Hovland Upper side of highway. More trash dumped. 
12:20 p.m.  Moose Valley Rd, Hovland Electricity has been off/not used since April and mail being returned. 
12:37 p.m. Grand Portage Two people in possession of an assault rifle.
12:55 p.m. North Shore Health  New ER is now open - use the new ambulance bay to enter with patients. 
1:01 p.m. Grand Portage  On foot with National Park rangers to Fort Charlotte. 
2:32 p.m. Gunflint Trail/Cut Off Road  Two vehicle crash. 
3:22 p.m.  Gunflint Trail, Grand Marais  Traffic stop – warning.
3:33 p.m. Grand Portage Party would like to surrender guns left at her house.
4:19 p.m. School House Road, Grand Marais Neighbor’s pigs are loose. 
4:22 p.m. Schroeder  Truck off road, hit tree. 
4:26 p.m. Grand Portage 2 malamutes, barking uncontrollably. 
5:47 p.m.  Grand Portage Civil contract issue.
8:20 p.m. Trout Lake Resort, Grand Marais  Party in cabin hears woman screaming and cursing, “Drop that, “Stop it” and “that hurts.” It was found that fishing line became tangled in dog’s feet, party was impaled in the finger by a fish hook and was yelling for help. 
     
10:04 p.m. Devil Track Road, Grand Marais Basement motion. 
10:29 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party has some question about some paperwork that might have been left. 
11:26 p.m.  Hovland  Garage door.
11:30 p.m. Temperance River State Park, Schroeder 50-old-male has vertigo and needs medical attention.  
12:42 p.m. Grand Portage  89-year-old male with heart condition, needs medical attention.
1:43 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Departing dispatcher sends message, “Thanks…Take care and be safe!:
1:44 p.m. Peninsula Point Trail, Lutsen A chocolate lab is running loose. 
1:45 p.m. Nelsons Travelers Rest, Grand Marais Appears someone is setting up camp west of the resort on their property.
2:07 p.m. Grand Marais Reporting sick crow in his yard. 
3:20 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Pocket dial 9-1-1. 
3:42 p.m. Grand Portage Party on a brownish Kawasaki motorcycle driving extremely fast on Townsite Road. 
3:53 p.m. Grand Marais  Party cited for no proof of insurance and tires too wide for fenders.
4:06 p.m. Grand Portage Unwanted party won’t leave. 
5:11 p.m.  Grand Marais  Equipment off loading on 5th Ave. Potential to cause traffic hazard. 
3:50 p.m. Tuscarora Lodge, Gunflint Trail 31-year-old male in Boundary Waters, conscious, breathing normally, throwing up about every 20 minutes. Party is diabetic, has been taking his insulin. Will be will be in a black Chevy Silverado. Gunflint crew has made contact with the patient and he is able to walk across the portage so they will walk out with him.
5:52 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party would like to talk to deputy regarding his daughter. 
6:18 p.m. Grand Portage  A store customer advised that about a mile up Highway 61 towards the border it looked like a male and female were fighting.
6:34 p.m. Two Island Rd, Schroeder Removing a tree from the road.
6:54 p.m. Hovland  Party parked damaged vehicle in parking lot of Hovland Post Office. 
8:25 p.m. West Highway 61, Schroeder Party hit Onstar button accidentally, unable to disable. Advised to call Onstar directly to solve problem 
9:21 p.m. Law Enforcement Center Found i-Phone approximately 15 miles up the Gunflint Trail from town. 
9:37 p.m. Dairy Queen, Grand Marais Request to call the manager. 
22:25 p.m. Linnell Road, Grand Marais 66-year-old female needs medical attention. No transport, coming in by private vehicle. 
11:33 p.m.  W Hwy 61, 2sch  Traffic stop – warning.
11:40 p.m. Grand Marais Neighbor trouble –conversation became heated, but no charges and the two went their separate ways.
Thursday, August 24
12:23 a.m. Grand Marais  Vehicle partly on Highway 61 between mile marker 95 and 96, nobody in it, lights on. Lake side. Gold minivan - older, beat up van.
7:16 a.m. West Highway 61, Lutsen Audible burglary alarm – false.
8:54 a.m. West Highway 61, Lutsen Removing a deer from the road.
09:09 a.m. West Highway 61  Traffic stop – warning.
11:00 a.m. West Highway 61  Party hit a deer with his vehicle and has some damage to the front passenger side of his vehicle headlight.
11:04 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party requests callback. 
11:13 a.m. East Highway 61 Cited for no proof of insurance. 
11:56 a.m. 2 North Broadway, Grand Marais  Traffic stop – warning.
12:06 p.m. Law Enforcement Center Party reporting suspicious activity regarding basement/garage of her cabin. Witnessed a male trying to gain entry but the suspect ran. No suspects identified so far. 
12:28 p.m. Voyageur Brewing, Grand Marais Party dropped off 4 credit cards that were left behind at their business yesterday.
12:56 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party requesting call back regarding Project Lifesaver.
2:25 p.m. Grand Marais Traffic stop – warning.
2:56 p.m. Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen DNR worker reporting theft of rain buckets from this site. Approximate value $200.
3:37 p.m. West Highway 61, Schroeder 76-year-old fell in yard, needs medical attention.  
3:50 p.m. East Highway 61  Reporting what looked to be an injured adolescent eagle on the north side of Highway 61.
3:55 p.m. North Broadway, Grand Marais  Compliance check – compliant.
5:12 p.m. Grand Marais Predatory Offender change of information form filed.
5:47 p.m. Grand Marais  Predatory Offender change of information form filed.
7:32 p.m. Grand Marais Rec Park At dock beside fish house, report of boat sinking. Need Coast Guard with a pump.
8:04 p.m. Sven And Ole’s Pizza Lock out. 
11:31 p.m. Grand Marais Suspicious person - tall thin male heading westbound in the alley on foot. Checked area, no suspects identified. 
Friday, August 25
8:19 a.m. Ball Club Rd, Grand Marais  Caller reporting small fire with visible flame, possibly 40x40. Friend was going to put buckets of water on. US Forest Service and DNR notified, fire was put out by rain.
8:26 a.m. Gunflint Trail  Cited for speed.
8:37 a.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Low temp alarm in unit 12 and fire alarm in unit 43a. 
10:22 a.m. East Highway 61, Grand Portage  Traffic stop – warning. 
10:23 a.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop – warning.

1:18 p.m. Aero Drive, Tofte Residence secure. Vehicle tracks in driveway.
2:37 p.m. Gunflint Traill/South Brule Road Traffic stop – warning. 
3:00 p.m. Ugly Baby Bait Shop, Gunflint Trail Cited for speed and no proof insurance.
318 p.m.  Gunflint Trail Traffic stop – warning.
4:39 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  911 hangup. Cook County called back and left a voicemail. 
5:12 p.m. Grand Marais  101-year-old male needs medical attention, transport to the hospital.
5:33 p.m. Flyby Drive/West Highway 61, Tofte Party calling to report he was in a single car accident -referred to State patrol. 
5:59 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Project lifesaver set up. 
8:29 p.m. Ryden’s Border Store, Grand Portage  Vehicle picking up packages after hours – checked by deputy. No further action taken.
8:48 p.m. West Highway 61 Damage to the windshield due to debris thrown up from the wheels of a truck. 
Saturday, August 26
12:58 a.m. Grand Portage 65-year-old female needs medical help, transported by Grand Portage ambulance to North Shore Health. 
1:03 a.m West Highway 61 Traffic stop – warning. 
7:58 a.m Cascade River Bridge Large pine tree across roadway, blocking whole road. 
8:18 a.m  Devil Track Road, Grand Marais Low hanging power line or telephone pole.
9:02 a.m Bay Rd, Grand Portage Traffic stop – warning.
9:15 a.m Upper Rd, Grand Portage  Traffic stop – warning.
10:21 a.m Gunflint Trail Traffic stop -warning.
11:02 a.m Grand Marais Church detail.
12:13 p.m. Minnesota Power, Schroeder  Green dodge ram parked right next to a gate by your coal pile, license on front and not back, tinted windows. 844 uuu 
1:09 p.m. West Highway 61, Schroeder Party stated that his power is out at his residence after returning from being gone for a month.
1:40 p.m. Taconite Harbor Small Craft Harbor, Schroeder Party left pontoon trailer off to the side down by marina. Trailer blew a tire. Should be back and have the trailer/boat out of there sometime tomorrow. Tan Crestliner pontoon on trailer. 
1:45 p.m. Drury Lane Books, Grand Marais Report of dark blue sporty ATV ripping around East Bay beach being reckless. 
2:27 p.m. East Highway 61 Received a 911 hang up from this residence. 
3:56 p.m. North Shore Health Smelling smoke in the new CT room.
4:01 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop – warning.
4:11 p.m. West Highway 61  Cited for speed.
4:31 p.m.  W Hwy 61, 2sch  Cited for speed.
4:45 p.m. Tofte Neighbors are currently burning garbage. Party cited for burning garbage.
5:47 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop – warning.
6:51 p.m. Cramer Rd, Schroeder  Compliance check. 
7:07 p.m. Grand Marais 88-year-old male fell. Transported to north shore health
7:41 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop – warning.

8:31 p.m. East Highway 61 Party hit a deer - car is not driveable .
9:54 p.m. Cook County Airport The rotating white light at the airport is not working. 
Sunday, August 27
12:09 a.m. Cook County High School Reporting 3 high school age males walking around the school grounds – checked parties and they were just taking a walk. 
1:16 a.m. Grand Marais City Hall Foot patrol. 
1:22 a.m. Johnsons Heritage Post, Grand Marais Open door, going inside to check around. Deputy secured the door. Everything was fine.
