The following is a record of calls made to the Cook County Law Enforcement Center from March 13 – March 19. These are the initial calls made to law enforcement dispatchers.

March 13, 2017
1:34 a.m. Hovland Checking in per social worker request.
7:57 a.m. Sawtooth Elementary  Safe routes to school.
8:56 a.m. Cook County courthouse Would like a callback.
10:06 a.m. Lutsen Resort Vehicle hit in center of rear bumper. Did not notice until he was back home yesterday. No officer needed, making report for insurance. 
10:08 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
11:59 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to purchase application received. 
12:16 p.m. West Highway 61 Reported stop arm violation near this location.  
1:03 p.m. Arrowhead Pharmacy Would like to speak to a deputy. 
1:33 p.m. East Highway 61  Stated that party beat rp up and rp said they dropped party off at the aspen lodge. 
3:20 p.m. Cook County High School  Safe routes to school.
4:19 p.m. North Broadway, Grand Marais  Foot patrol, Grand Marais business district.
5:28 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Misdial at front desk, no emergency. 
5:42 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport. 
7:30 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate visitation. 
9:18 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Traffic stop, warning given.
9:47 p.m. East Highway 61, Grand Portage Traffic stop, warning given.

March 14    
6:13 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
7:54 a.m. Cook County High School Safe routes to school. 
8:03 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
8:39 a.m. Grand Portage Conservation Office Will be doing moose survey from straight wing plane for the next 2 day in the Grand Portage area. 
8:53 a.m. Grand Marais Black dog with pink collar. The dog attacked her bumper and tried to jump into her car this morning. 
10:06 a.m. Cook County courthouse Child protection matter. 
10:43 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Requesting follow up.
10:50 a.m. West Highway 61, Lutsen Traffic stop, warning given.
3:11 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
4:25 p.m. Eagle Ridge, Lutsen  911 call that had hold music when answered. On callback stated no emergency. 
5:01 p.m. Caribou Trail, Lutsen  On security cameras at cabin, they can see people walking around. Have not tried to enter the cabin. 
6:33 p.m. Gunflint Trail Traffic stop, warning given.
6:50 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Fire alarm at Bluefin Bay, false alarm. 
8:21 p.m. Grand Marais 45-year-old woman needs medical help. 
9:00 p.m. West Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
9:55 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Traffic stop, warning given.
10:50 p.m Grand Marais  Welfare check. 
     
March 15
12:00 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Requested call back from deputy.
12:12 a.m. Grand Marais State Bank Male that appears to be intoxicated stumbling around outside of the bank area, concerned he's going to pass out. 
7:38 a.m. Grand Marais  84-year-old male has fallen, unknown injuries. 
8:25 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
9:31 a.m. East Highway 61  Traffic stop, warning given.
10:43 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Permit to purchase renewal application.
11:22 a.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
2:16 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Returning your call.
8:33 p.m. West Highway 61, Schroeder Report of terroristic threats towards party.
10:23 p.m. Grand Marais  Young female in the household fainted. After talking to dispatch, she decided she didn't need an ambulance. Party would call back if she wanted help sent. 
11:55 p.m. Grand Marais  Party requesting a welfare check on a party.
     
March 16
5:45 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
7:07 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
7:38 a.m. North Shore Health, Grand Marais Sounds of construction in the background. No sounds of distress. On callback, party stated it was a pocket dial. 
8:01 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport.
8:06 a.m. Cook County High School D.A.R.E. class
9:03 a.m. North Shore Health, Grand Marais  Sounds of construction in background. Same number as before. Received 4 9-1-1 calls from this number. Party said all ok. He stated he was going to turn it off. 
10:15 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party wants sheriffs office to call him. 
11:04 a.m. West Highway 61, Tofte 911 hang up from this number. On call back, no emergency. 
11:21 a.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, citation issued.
11:53 a.m. Grand Portage  Attempt to pick up party on Cook County warrant.
1:30 p.m. East Highway 61 Elderly party fell down the stairs. Alert and conscious. 
2:02 p.m. East Highway 61, Grand Portage Traffic stop, warning given.
3:01 p.m. Cook County Recycle Center Inmate transport.
4:43 p.m. Bluefin Bay, Tofte Wrong number. 
5:45 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte Traffic stop, warning given.
8:59 p.m. Grand Marais  Civil process attempt.
11:36 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, citation issued.
March 17
     
1:08 a.m. East Highway 61 Party hit a deer and it needs to be dispatched. No injuries. Only minor damage to vehicle. 
7:40 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party reporting that Ski Hill Road has not been plowed yet.
7:54 a.m. Grand Marais  Traffic stop, warning given.
8:07 a.m. Trailside Cabins & Motel, Grand Marais A black pickup swerved and ran off the road, through a wooden fence and into the woods on the lakeside. No injuries 
8:14 a.m. Cook County High School Student was fish tailing and exhibition driving and it was witnessed by crossing guard. 
8:37 a.m. Tofte  Party arrested for domestic assault.
9:25 a.m. Grand Marais  LG phone with gold color hard case lost, possibly on 8th Ave.
9:33 a.m. Grand Marais Holiday  Party reporting a lot of smoke west of this location. 
9:38 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Checking to see if a predatory offender is in our system. 
12:26 p.m. Grand Marais  Reporting trucks parked in the middle of the county road in white out conditions. 
1:05 p.m. Cook County High School D.A.R.E. 
2:08 p.m. Grand Portage   Caller asks that party be removed. Party arrested for domestic assault.
3:54 p.m. Grand Marais Civil process attempt.
5:42 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Reporting that they do not have a dial tone. 
6:57 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Party arrested on a Cook County warrant.
9:44 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  911 hangup. No answer on callback 
10:05 p.m. North Broadway Ave, Grand Marais Foot patrol in business district. 
11:11 p.m. Papa Charlie’s, Lutsen Walk through.
11:25 p.m. Papa Charlie’s, Lutsen Reported wallet theft, found wallet on floor.
March 18
     
12:00 a.m. Tofte Residential fire alarm at this address, false alarm. 
12:12 a.m. Tofte Loud music from location.
6:57 a.m. Law Enforcement Center  Inmate transport. 
7:13 a.m. Grand Portage  Male experiencing shortness of breath.
8:38 a.m. Hovland Automated family room motion detector, false alarm.
9:08 a.m. East Highway 61 Removing deer off the highway at this location. 
9:15 a.m.   Trying to remove tree blocking lane east of this location. 
12:15 p.m. Grand Marais Elderly female fell, needs to go to the hospital.
12:41 p.m. Otter Lake Road, Hovland Requesting a welfare check on party. 
12:57 p.m. County Road 7/County Road 48, Grand Marais Reporting road sign knocked down and in the ditch. 
1:00 p.m. Law Enforcement Center  Stopped to report her phone was lost.
6:06 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
7:20 p.m. East Highway 61 Traffic stop, warning given.
8:27 p.m. North Broadway Ave, Grand Marais Foot patrol.
9:26 p.m. West Highway 61, Tofte On the ice rink behind guest services. Party fell with head injury, bleeding 
9:51 p.m. Grand Portage  Traffic stop, warning given
March 19
12:48 a.m. Tofte Aggressive person at callers residence - did push the rp 
2:27 a.m. Grand Marais  Rp not feelnig well 191/97 and pain under left shoulder blade. Heart patient. 75 yeo female short of breath, no pain to breath in 
5:54 a.m. Grand Marais  Wife is dizzy and shaky. 78 yeo consc and breathing. Shortness of breath. Elaine. Just switching bp meds 
7:26 a.m. MN Power, Schroeder  Hit a deer when he came to work this morning, headlight is out, took deer to salvage it, 
8:20 a.m. Grand Portage  81 yeo with dementia suffering from vertigo, conc and breathing - 
11:34 a.m. Mink Ranch Road/West Highway 61, Lutsen Lake side of the ditch - deer was hit by rv, still alive, needs to be put down, 
11:57 a.m. Grand Marais Party concerend b/c there is someone burning brush but they are burning it in the woods - if a deputy wasn't busy, wondered if one could just do a drive by 
12:06 p.m. Cook County Whole Foods Co-op Deputy requested page for medical for a party that had fallen and has a pretty good bump on their head 
1:01 p.m. Great Expectations School, Grand Marais Somebody dumped a bunch of beer cans and a cardboard box in the dumpster at great expectations 
1:25 p.m. Bluefin Bay, Tofte Deer was hit, needs to be put down - rp wants the deer, she'll be waiting in a grey odyssey van 
2:01 p.m. Cook County Community Center, Grand Marais Unauthorized garbage being put in garbage dumpster
2:02 p.m. Lutsen Mountains Male with head injury 
2:05 p.m. North Shore Health  Er wondering if a deputy could give the patient a ride back down to the coop 
6:14 p.m. US Customs, Grand Portage  Report of a suicide
